As part of Kingsbridge Healthcare Group, Kingsbridge Hearing Care offers an all-inclusive service for your hearing needs, from assessment to diagnosis to treatment.  We are based in Northern Ireland with clinics in Belfast, Holywood, Newtownabbey and most recently Ballykelly.

Our services include adult ear wax removal, custom ear and hearing protection, adult hearing assessment and bespoke private hearing aid provision.

Stephen

Stephen Hunter BSc Hons Clin Phys & DIS, HCPC, BAA, RCCP, BSHAA

Stephen is the Managing Director of Kingsbridge Opticians and Hearing Care. He also has been a fully qualified Audiologist for over 19 years practising adult and paediatric hearing assessments and rehabilitation.  During his career he has worked in both the NHS and Private sectors where he gained specialist expertise in wax removal procedures and dispensing hearing aids.  He specialises in complex hearing losses and the latest innovations in hearing aid technology.  He enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team and feels this provides a streamlined, holistic approach to patient centred care. 

‘Each person I meet faces new communication challenges and I find it extremely rewarding being able to tailor the latest innovations in hearing aid technology to address these needs’

In his spare time Stephen enjoys playing guitar and taking on car restoration projects

Richard

Richard Sweeney MCOptom HCPC Reg

Richard Sweeney is the owner and founder of Kingsbridge Opticians & Hearing Care. Richard currently works as Head of Product and Service Development on the Strategic Development Team for the Kingsbridge Private Hospital Group. He is a registered Optometrist of 24 years and a HCPC registered Hearing Aid Dispenser. He has a keen interest in Cataract care, Macular Degeneration and Hearing Aid dispensing.

Conor Rooney

Conor Rooney Team Leader of Kingsbridge Opticians and Hearing Care

Conor joined the Front of House team at Kingsbridge Healthcare Group in 2020 having previously worked in management and training for 15 years.

At Kingsbridge Opticians & Hearing Care, Conor leads our Audiology and Optical teams, and is responsible for the day to day running of the Lisburn Road store. He also plays a key role in supporting the KOHC teams in Newtownabbey, Donaghadee, Holywood and Ballykelly.

Conor has held various management roles across the UK and Ireland, and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Team Leader role.

‘I love to see that warm smile on our patients’ faces when they experience our unique, personal service from beginning to end. That’s why I have a ‘patient-first’ approach to everything I do.’

Lyndesy Hunter

Lynsey Hunter BSc Hons Clin Phys & DIS, HCPC, BAA, RCCP, BSHAA

Lynsey has been an Audiologist for over 17 years working in both the NHS and private sectors providing advanced investigations, assessments and rehabilitation for paediatric and adult patients.  She has a special interest in advanced diagnostic testing and enjoys researching the latest audiological innovations and incorporating these into patient care plans.  Throughout her career, Lynsey has strived to modernise service provision and improve the quality of care provided to patients.

‘There is a misconception that hearing loss is only an age related event, one of my goals is to provide better awareness of hearing health and minimise the impact hearing loss can have on daily life’ 

In her free time Lynsey enjoys baking and caring for rescue animals.

Caroline

Caroline Fenning FdSc HAA, HCPC, BAA, BSHAA

Caroline joined the team in 2023, having gained her Foundation Degree in Hearing Aid Audiology from Aston University in Birmingham in 2021. She became interested in hearing care while working as an assistant manager at a private sector opticians as she was always impressed by the impact audiologists had on customers’ lives.

Caroline’s daily responsibilities can be varied. She conducts hearing assessments, recommends appropriate hearing solutions tailored to each patient’s needs and conducts hearing aid fitting appointments. She spends time making sure that clients receive well-fitting devices and educates them on hearing aids care. Caroline also services and reviews hearing aids to ensure clients are getting the most out of their devices.

‘The best part of my job is spending time getting to know my patients and finding out what matters to them most when it comes to hearing better. Seeing a patients face light up when they hear a family members voice clearly or even their favourite song again never gets old.’

Outside of work, Caroline enjoys hiking in the Mourne Mountains.

Megan

Megan Deely O’Meara Associate Audiologist

Megan has been part of the Kingsbridge Healthcare Group since 2018, having previously worked with children and adults with additional needs. Megan started as our Audiology Coordinator and is now enrolled with Anglia Ruskin University as an Associate Audiologist.

 My passion for Audiology is a personal one. My own sister has had hearing loss from birth so to pursue a career where I can actively make a difference to people with hearing impairment means a lot to me’.

Megan’s interests outside work include watching Formula One and sea swimming.

emma keegan

Emma Keegan Ear Care Practitioner

Emma performs ear wax removal at our busy clinics in Lisburn Road, Holywood and Newtownabbey. Emma previously worked as a Health Care Assistant for the Kingsbridge Private Hospital Group.  

‘I enjoy the patient interaction as part of what I do, it is very rewarding’.

Emma’s interests outside work include working with her rescue dogs Frank and Nugget and travel.
