From day to day we are exposed to a wide variety of sounds. Provided the level of these sounds is below 80decibels (80dBA) then we are unlikely to sustain any damage to our hearing. However many of the sounds that we are exposed to nowadays are well above this safe threshold and are potentially damaging to the delicate ‘hair cells’ in our inner ear (cochlea).
The impact of noise on hearing may not be immediately obvious but starts to become noticeable later in life. By this time however the damage has been done and cannot be reversed.
At Kingsbridge Hearing Care we provide a range of passive and active noise protection for:
- Musicians and those listening to loud music
- Those using firearms – sportsmen and those in the armed forces
- Industry workers
- Sleep problems – snoring and light sleepers.
